VOLKSWAGEN SECURES A £1.7MILLION DEAL
VW Commercial Vans is pleased after obtaining a £1.7 million order to supply over 80 Transporter vehicles to Arcus Engineering who are in the refrigeration maintenance contract in the South East for Sainsbury’s supermarkets.
The fleet comprises the new , more fuel-efficient Volkswagen Transporter vehicles introduced earlier this year, along with some of Volkswagen’s smaller vehicles , the Caddy, to work in and around London. The Vans , interior conversions and contract hire agreement have been done .
Volkswagen Transporter vans are conventionally in the light commercial van sector; and comprise vans, minivans, minibuses, pick-ups, campervans, and other derived vans , spanning over 55 years of creation from 1950. Throughout their generations, they have generally been available worldwide.
Arcus Engineering, based in Upminster, Essex, is a new refrigeration division to sister company ArcusFM which manages the facilities contract for the national network of Sainsbury’s stores.
Past knowledge and the reputation of the Volkswagen brand helped to obtain the order as ArcusFM fleet manager, Janet Bass, explained.
‘It was imperative that we operated Arcus Engineering with a fleet that was reliable and robust. Abridge Van Centre was very helpful throughout the proceedings by providing a range of demonstrator vehicles that we could test at our ease before making up our minds . ‘
