3 Reasons People Skip Over Synthetic Motor Oil
When it comes to protecting your engine and your pocketbook motor oil changes have to be the most important method a preventing a complete catastrophe under the hood. Failure to change your motor oil regularly and properly, or not using the motor oil your vehicle needs to function as it’s designed to can (and most likely will) lead to disastrous damage to vital engine components that can literally drain your bank account…we’re talking $10,000 or more.
It flabbergasts me that so many people take their motor oil for granted. It could be that people aren’t keeping their vehicles for the long haul anymore. Since they won’t be driving the vehicle for very long, then missing a few oil changes won’t matter to them…let someone else deal with the repercussions.
This is the main reason why I’d never buy a used vehicle without seeing the maintenance records.
Maybe now that we are in the computer age everybody just wants to believe there is nothing they need to do to maintain their vehicles. There’s a well-known excuse out there that you can’t work on your car like you used to because of all the computers under there.
Well the one way you can have control over the proper preventative maintenance of your vehicle is to change your own oil. Those people who don’t lift a finger to safeguard their investment are sadly going to have to be written off; it’s just that simple.
Oil is oil right? Wrong. You know those hard headed people out there that when you talk to them about anything they already have an opinion that just will not be changed? You know, the ones who have insane ideas and that any common sense can’t be forced onto? If you expect to learn anything new at all, you just can’t be in that type of mindset.
Unfortunately, this is why so many people are set on using the same brand of motor oil that they’ve been using for decades. Dad used it, grandpa used it, just like a family legacy to be handed down generation to generation and I want to shake some sense into them…open their eyes for them and tell’em to use their own brain for a change; we don’t watch black and white television sets or listen to records and 8-tracks anymore, so why would we use the same motor oil? Engines have changed with the rest of society’s inventions.
They have to open up a little bit and adopt some new information.
If you are the thick skulled type than you won’t care about this report on engine protection and the right synthetic motor oil.
